I've always been intrigued by people who achieve phenomenal success in their respective fields, whether it's Grant Cardone with his 10X movement or Luc Poirier with his bold land development projects.
I always wondered how these individuals live their daily lives.
It is said that 80% of our success as a real estate investor is the result of our mindset. However, only 20% of that same success is caused by the techniques applied.

ABOUT

The book "Think and Grow Rich" by author Napoleon Hill, published in 1937, is still a reference for personal growth and business success. The book is composed of 13 principles, including the power of persistence and the power of imagination.
According to the author, these principles not only lead to financial wealth, but also to success in other areas of our lives, such as good health and healthy family relationships.
I had the opportunity to read this book for the first time when I was starting out in real estate, when I decided to do my first house flip, 4 years ago. Following this reading, the first principle I put into practice was autosuggestion. In other words, I started using positive internal dialogue. I also established a morning routine of positive affirmations to reinforce the beliefs that would allow me to grow further.
This simple habit has had a beneficial effect on my life, as I have noticed that several limiting beliefs have been eradicated. Although the change was not instantaneous, I now see that I did well to persist.
I reread this book in September 2022. Afterwards, a new habit was born. It is the principle of the "collective brain".
This principle is based on the theory that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Thus, we acquire the habits of these people and even their way of thinking.
In fact, Henry Ford credited much of his business success to his own collective brain trust, which at the time included inventor Thomas Edison, U.S. President Warren Harding (1921–1923), and entrepreneur Harvey Firestone.

Like these great figures, I took the initiative to surround myself with people who are successful in their field. I also made sure to have monthly meetings with them. The result is impressive.
Not only did my thinking change, but I also started dreaming bigger.
When I started my business in 2015, I had a hard time understanding why people said that wealth is a state of mind.
By encountering pitfalls on my entrepreneurial journey, I understood why endurance and perseverance are so fundamental for successful entrepreneurs. On several occasions, I often wanted to close my business following considerable problems.
Looking back, I am proud of myself for enduring those tough times and rolling up my sleeves. Overcoming each challenge has made me a better entrepreneur.
No one comes into this world with a millionaire mindset.
However, it is accessible to those who are willing to put in the effort to develop it.
Human history bears witness to several cases of millionaire people who lost everything at one point in their lives, but managed to rebuild it all by showing optimism, willpower, persistence and courage.
