Spread happiness
“Two weeks ago, we paid our employees a bonus so they could get equipment to improve their telework space at home. At the beginning of the month, we launched our Le bonheur dans le coeur advent calendar : every day, our team members share one of their little joys through a video. The goal is to bring joy and sunshine into the lives of our customers, employees and partners to end this year on a light and positive note.” – Claudine Humbert, Account Director and Partner, Axial, Sherbrooke
15 days to celebrate
“Our festivities are spread over three weeks to sweeten the end of the year for employees. In particular, we will have a BeaverTails food truck . There will be background music and each employee will have to wear a Christmas accessory. Everything is outside while respecting the two-metre distance. We will have a Christmas dinner in the form of individual boxes by a caterer. Not to mention: a pajama day , an inter-team food donation competition , a decoration contest , a virtual magic show and various draws and prize-givings via Teams!” – Véronique Paradis, laboratory supervisor, Semex, Saint-Hyacinthe

Zen party
“Our small social committee that organizes activities throughout the year wanted to avoid organizing yet another Zoom meeting. We wanted to move in the direction of well-being and cocooning , especially at the end of the year. We finally opted to offer team members a virtual yoga class , a box of teas and a gift card from Les Libraires . Each day of the last week before the holidays will therefore be punctuated by these surprises to close with a small animated virtual cocktail and a word from management.” – Julie Delorme, Communications Coordinator, Festival Transamériques, Montreal
Laughter therapy
“Our employer is offering us a virtual show with 4 comedians on December 16. So each of us from our house will attend this virtual event using the same connection. Given the current situation, I really appreciate this gesture of recognition from Collège de Rosemont. We are among the professionals who were able to keep their jobs, but we have worked (and are working) very hard to support students and convert everything to remote. I like that this gesture also encourages Quebec artists.” – Jacinthe Heppell, individual educational assistant at Collège de Rosemont, Montreal

Home delivery and games
“At L'Esplanade, we are offering the Randolph Pub Virtual Party with entertainment, games, and delivery of a bottle of wine and a meal from Pastaga restaurant to your home. Everyone has rallied behind this virtual party idea that will allow us to have fun while recognizing the work of our wonderful team.” – Luc Tousignant, General Manager of L'Esplanade, Montreal
Secret Friends
“We will have secret friends for a week after the holidays . The concept is simple: we do a draw from Pikkado and we are thus paired with a college. The instruction will be to offer a kind word, to do a favor and/or give a small gift that will please our secret friend for a set time. Everyone is creative.” – Isabelle Claude, head of training and clinical supervision at Uniatox, Mascouche
