Digital transformation ideas, one step at a time

When it comes to digital transformation, we often make the mistake of believing that it automatically involves a major project that will monopolize enormous human and financial resources, a complex large-scale project that can extend over several months, even years!

However, in reality, it is more a succession of several small initiatives.

Here are some you can implement right away.

As with project management, you can digitize your employees' timesheets into a visible and easily editable document.

Digitizing working time management

Without having to mention official statistics, we can say that the management of working time and absences is often an issue, especially within SMEs. Many organizations are still struggling with manual validation processes and are stuck in numerous tracking files to manage them. From payroll managers to factory employees to their managers who have to approve, everyone agrees that it is undoubtedly a major irritant within a company.

Yet, it is one of the simplest, quickest and least expensive issues to resolve. In addition, it is a global initiative, affecting everyone and which involves a low level of risk. It is often a unifying project that has an immediate impact on operational efficiency.

Teleworking allows businesses greater flexibility for remote hiring, lower commercial rent and less office equipment.

Relocating work environments

The pandemic exponentially accelerated companies’ shift to digital work environments to make their employees location-independent to perform their tasks. These same companies reaped additional benefits when they faced labor shortages. They were able to virtually extend their geographic coverage and thus access resources they previously could not benefit from.

The relocation of work environments, including their security, has become much less complex in recent years and has become more easily accessible to companies. It remains an important vector for operational improvement that can also provide several competitive advantages.

Improve your customer experience by taking inspiration from others to make their journey easier and make them happy!

Improving the customer experience

How do you interact with your customers? How do you support your customers before, during and after the purchase? What types of interactions do you have with them? Email, phone, FAQ on your website, chatbot, customer portal? Customer service is a bunch of little things that make all the difference, because you knew it well: a customer costs much more to acquire than to keep.

Take the time to understand your current customer journey and define what experiences you want them to have. Look at what's happening with the competition and don't hesitate to draw inspiration from what's being done in other sectors. For example, we're currently talking a lot about the democratization of artificial intelligence. How could it improve your shopping experience for your customers? Don't hesitate to step out of your comfort zone.

3-2-1 Action!

Never forget that technology is the tool to create the journey, it is not THE journey. A digital transformation is not a long movie, but rather a series of several episodes, spread over several seasons! Each episode aims to build, step by step, what will become your success story. Determine your common thread and your sequence of events so that your story makes sense and captures interest and engagement from start to finish. Know how to surround yourself with the best actors, including your CPA, who will be your best critic to help you make informed decisions at each step.
